*You Are Not Configured To Connect To The Server Skype For Business Mac Issues
You’ve received complaints from users that they are experiencing out of sync messages between devices such as their mobile phones compared to the Skype for Business clients. Logging onto the Skype for Business front-end server and reviewing the Lync Server logs show that event ID 32054 errors are logged and refer to the users who have. If you had a previous version of Skype for Business Server, or a current Skype for Business installation that’s not configured for hybrid, then existing user attributes carried over from your on-premises Active Directory can conflict with the online values and cause sign-in issues.
*Apr 06, 2018 Skype for Business Server 2015 or Lync Server 2013 (doesn’t mention SfB Online but it will be supported im sure) OSX 10.11 (El Capitan) or OSX 10.12 (Sierra) – Same as previous Outlook Mac build 15.27 (161010) required for Outlook integration – Same as previous.
*You should receive a prompt to open or save the domain file. The URL mentioned in the domain file must be the external web services URL for the Front End Server or Director pool. If the internal web services URL is returned, the web publishing rule is incorrect.
autodetect was’t working when i was connected on-prem... interestingly, it worked fine when i was external so i knew i had a shot... i’ve seen this issue mentioned in numerous other support forumsYou Are Not Configured To Connect To The Server Skype For Business Mac Mic Not Working
typical error message: You’re not configured to connect to the server. You Are Not Configured To Connect To The Server Skype For Business Mac Issues
steps that worked for me:
*pull working Windows configs by CTRL+RightMouse on Skype tray icon > Configuration Information
*based on educated guess i took the ’DG URL Internal/External’ https: urls and plugged them into skype’s [advanced options] page
*also on windows, i also exported the certificate from the browser for the above server and imported it into mac’s keychain
*i exported the .p7b format INCLUDING the parent certificate chain
*i imported as ’system’ level
*and made sure to TRUST it after it was imported (in mac KeyChain Access app, search by server name, right mouse on the entry > get info > trust)
